How Responsible Are We?

How Responsible Are We
for the world around us?

Many times we go through life blaming the 5 car pile-up on the road that made us late, we blame our spouse or children for starting our day off badly, or we blame the cleaners for not getting the stain out of our shirt. Blame, Blame, Blame, Blame. But do you subscribe to the thought that we create our reality? That EVERYTHING we perceive is a manifestation of our own thoughts? If you have read Wayne Dyer or watched the movie The Secret, then you have an idea of what I am talking about. But if we create our realities, then we are responsible for the accident, the spouse and badly behaved children, and the cleaner not getting the stain out? How is this possible?

This is where Ho'oponopono enters the picture. Ho'oponopono blends responsibility with divinity. Ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian practice of personal responsibility and releasing everything to God.

Imagine you are in the picture where someone walks into your office and just bulldozes you in a negative way. They are rude, crude, and they represent nothing of what you are. You are irritated, mad, and maybe a little surprised at the audacity of other people.

Many people teach that others are only a mirror of you. So what's in your personality that is reflected in this person's behavior? Maybe none. This took years for me to figure out. Other people may not be a reflection of WHO or WHAT you are, but if someone enters your life, you do share a common thread with them somewhere.

We only perceive 10% of our thoughts, that means 90% of our subconscious thoughts, that we do not perceive, dominate our lives and our reality. Think about that! Even though you are not aware of your link to this person, know that you do share a link somewhere that you cannot perceive. This experience then becomes your responsibility.

How can you clear yourself? You can say "Father, Mother, Holy Divine of One and All, please forgive me for whatever I have done, past, present or future, to create this situation" Then say these 4 phrases, "I Love You", "I'm Sorry", "Please Forgive Me", and "Thank You". Say these 4 phrases over and over again and you will QUICKLY feel so much better. When you clear the situation in you, you will release the web of situation for the other person as well, without them ever knowing what you have done. Try this out. When you are talking to a loved one or friend and they are very upset about something and retelling you the story, know that since you are a perceiving the situation, it has then become your responsibility. Clear it with the above situation and you will see how quickly your friend or loved one loses their anger and steam. Just repeat it silently in your head until they lose steam about the subject. It is amazing.

There is a doctor that works emergency care and also works with hospice. He found 4 magical phrases that can transmute everything. He said when someone was dying and they were surrounded by their family, that he heard 4 phrases being repeated over and over, "I Love you", "I'm sorry", "Please Forgive Me", and "Thank You". He said these 10 words held so much power that it is almost unbelievable. He said the people that then transitioned after saying those words, had a very peaceful passing and the people that did not have a chance to say those words had a very different transition. He also noted that the families dealt with grief much differently as well.

The beauty in Ho'oponopono is that you say these words internally and to God, they do not have to ever be spoken to another human. The word, along with intention, really is very powerful.

I practice Ho'oponopono 100 times before getting out of bed each morning and 100 times before going to sleep at night. I also practice this during the day as often as I think about it because my goal is to clear out the 90% of programming that I am not aware of. I do not have to know what the situation I am clearing is nor do I need to direct the clearing anywhere. I am giving complete control to God to release what needs to be released. Since we already know that nothing happens without action, your part in this is that you are actively expressing love, asking for forgiveness, and expressing gratitude. You are taking action and handing the drivers seat over to God to transmute and release what is not of your highest good.

Remember, if you see something happening in the world that you do not like, change starts with you.

Getting Out Of The Way of Yourself

Getting Out Of The Way of Yourself
How do Religion and Politics Affect This?

I had a great conversation with someone yesterday and it ended up being the highlight of my day. We were talking about growth and why we, as humanity, get in the way of our own growth, healing, and daily lives. Neither one of us had the answer to that in the broad sense but it really doesn’t matter. What does matters is what I do in my own life not to interfere with my growth, healing and who I am. Many of my beliefs, thoughts, and realities are popular with other people, and some are not. I always think how boring our world would be if we all thought, spoke, acted and had the exact same beliefs. My upbringing taught me that we are all created as one. I know that is true. I am as equally as important as a tree in a forest. I am as significant as the ant. Everything is created by design and for purpose. Nothing happens as an accident. While we may have not had a certain vision in our mind, in the large picture, everything comes into fruition by divine design. With the thought that we are all one, where is the room for individuality? Everyone grows, learns, and experiences at a different pace. Some people are hit hard with experiences early on, some sail through life until they slam into a brick wall. This is where diversity is important. Since we are all connected, our own personal evolution is connected to the evolution of everything else. Notice the mental/emotional/physical state of the general population living in the United States. How many people do you know that have an ailment, are worriers, fearful, angry, complain, are tired, aging, and tend to be more negative than positive? Now how many people do you know are always uplifting? These ratios are often unbalanced in favor with the negative. Now look at how our environment tends to reflect that negativity. Kids are not like they were when I was growing up. Adults are not like they were when I was growing up. Society is not like it was when I was growing up. But there is a direct connection with how people feel and how that affects everything else. Negativity breeds more negativity unless you put a stop to it in your own life.

Politics and religion have always been of interest to me. These two subjects are two of the most controversial subjects that can bring up a heated discussion rather quickly. I know someone that owned a business. The business was VERY poorly run but it still managed to hang on. There were changes just about every month in personnel and it got to the point that the only people that went to work there were fresh out of school and they quickly were given an education in business success. This business held on for 7 years and had a slightly steady flow of customers. The business owner decided to verbally announce their political views in open forums. Within 3 months, there were ZERO clients and the doors closed. People are stuck on their own opinions and of course, most people feel their way is the right way and the ONLY way. Anyone that has a different opinion is deemed poorly misguided and disillusioned. But you see, in this thinking, people are standing in the way of their own growth. I am an open book. I allow all beliefs. I allow all people. What this means is that I am not going to think any differently about an atheist, a highly religious person, a family that does not go to church, or a psychic. I am not going to pity someone or believe they are misguided because they have the right to be who they are. Remember, we are all one. The hierarchy thinking has never proven to be a winner in the past and yes, history does repeat itself for these reasons.

Our family takes 2 trips to Austin each year, on a non-holiday, to feed homeless people on the street. The reason I point out non-holidays is because I believe you should never do something by guilt or because it is a time of year where it is expected that you are charitable. I have one charitable deed I do every day. I make sure I do at least something every day to unexpected enrich the life of someone else. Not because I have to or should, but because I have a vision of a world I am working towards. This vision is drawing more people to me that have the same vision. The change starts right here with me. In Austin, we fill our car and hand food out to the people on the street. This appalls some people. Some people are not for supporting homeless people, some people crusade for them. My opinion is this, they are human and they have a need. No matter what their circumstances are, no matter what their personal responsibility is or is not, does not matter to me. I don’t make judgments and I do not give something with expectations or with strings attached. I give because that is what is inside me. Of all the hundreds of people we have fed since moving down here, do you know what I have learned? The power in human random kindness. Homeless people have feelings. Their eyes well up with tears and when they say God Bless You as they are looking you straight in the eye and you are looking straight back at them, they mean it and you FEEL it. It also hits me in a way that I can never ever put into words because it touches my spirit and stirs something in me that I do not feel every second of every day. My life is an adventure and I am going to experience and learn all that I can so I can keep making ME a better place to live in.

The next time you come across someone that has a vastly different perspective than you do, acknowledge them for the human they are, and treat them with the same respect you want to be treated with. We are blessed with diversity and we can learn so much from others if we’d only get out of our own way.

WHY are we so fat?

WHY are we so fat?
the real answer once and for all

It appears that some people are really bothered by the word fat. If you are one of those people, I apologize in advance but please read on to understand how fat is not an ugly word, it is actually a self protective function of the body.

I have spoken often about the connection to emotions and toxicity. The body sees toxic emotions no different than a physical poison. The body handles all toxicity the SAME way. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver processes all of our thoughts and emotions. What are you feeding your liver? Someone following Dr Emoto's work took 3 grains of rice to carry out an experiment on the power of our emotions. To the 1st grain of rice, the family said "I Hate You" to it. The 2nd grain of rice, they said, "I Love You" to it. The 3rd grain of rice they completely ignored. After time had passed, the grain of rice they said "I Hate You" to was starting to decay. The 2nd grain of rice they said "I Love You" to still was in good condition. The 3rd grain of rice that they ignored, had rotted. Emotions have power. Many people stuff emotions down and ignore them. This is how disease gets a hold in the body. Other people are angry, and while they may not have a disease, they do have toxic personalities. These are people that are hard to be around for any length of time. There is a tv show called myth busters that carried out a similar experiment. I wrote about that in another blog so I will not revisit it here, but all of these independent experiments prove that emotions, while seemingly not tangible, do greatly affect you.

The body's response to negative emotions? Weight gain and swollen fat cells. The body protects itself by padding the internal body with cushioning. Think about the eating disorders that are emotion related: anexoria, bulemia, and emotional eating. Emotional eating is where people eat for comfort. There is such a large percent of the american culture that eats for comfort. Look back to the programming we had as children, and how we program our children today. Family events are celebrated in a restaurant, centered around food. Birthdays are centered around a birthday cake. If a child feels bad, we "cheer them up" with food. After winning a baseball game, families huddle around pizza or ice cream at the local shoppe. We use food all the time as a reward and comfort system, it is no wonder people turn to food for comfort.

But there is another aspect to fat that we have not considered and it has nothing to do with emotions and everything to do with toxic chemicals.

Toxic chemicals surround us and are making us fat despite no fat, low fat, exercise, and diets available today. Everyone is looking for the quick fix, but in order to understand what will help, you need to understand what is going on in the body. Our high stress, highly refined and processed diets, not having enough relaxing time or beneficial exercise, and not enjoying life enough leads us to an impaired detoxification system. Our major detox pathways have been interrupted and we no longer can expel harmful substances like our bodies once did. Picture a stopped up drain and there you have our detox pathways. Our lymph, our skin, our liver, kidneys, and lungs are not functioning at optimum anymore. Toxic chemicals are highly fat soluble. Which means, when the body cannot detox the toxins on it's own, it stores the toxins in the fat tissue and the cells fill up with lymphatic waste.

People think that if they are eating vegetables, they are healthy, but little is known about the way food is grown. Carbamates, also in medicines and cosmetics, are herbicides and pesticides sprayed on food and given to livestock to promote growth, fatten livestock and vegetables by slowing down the metabolic rate. We ingest these foods and this slows down our metabolic rate, causing weight gain.

If you experience hormone problems and researched the cause, you will find that hormone imbalance and toxins are directly related. Catecholamines, the body’s slimming hormones, are impaired by the toxins clogging up in your system. When adrenals are fatigued, you have a perfect recipe for low thyroid function to add on to your list of reasons why you are gaining weight.

I know it sounds daunting but I cannot stress enough the need to Detox, Detox, and Detox some more. In the world we live in, detoxing must be a part of our every day lives and I can promise you the detox packs you find at the health foods stores are not enough. You have a life time of built-up chemicals and toxins. If you have questions, look at our webpage. We not only offer detoxing options but we offer a plethora of information to educate you.
