How Responsible Are We?

How Responsible Are We
for the world around us?

Many times we go through life blaming the 5 car pile-up on the road that made us late, we blame our spouse or children for starting our day off badly, or we blame the cleaners for not getting the stain out of our shirt. Blame, Blame, Blame, Blame. But do you subscribe to the thought that we create our reality? That EVERYTHING we perceive is a manifestation of our own thoughts? If you have read Wayne Dyer or watched the movie The Secret, then you have an idea of what I am talking about. But if we create our realities, then we are responsible for the accident, the spouse and badly behaved children, and the cleaner not getting the stain out? How is this possible?

This is where Ho'oponopono enters the picture. Ho'oponopono blends responsibility with divinity. Ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian practice of personal responsibility and releasing everything to God.

Imagine you are in the picture where someone walks into your office and just bulldozes you in a negative way. They are rude, crude, and they represent nothing of what you are. You are irritated, mad, and maybe a little surprised at the audacity of other people.

Many people teach that others are only a mirror of you. So what's in your personality that is reflected in this person's behavior? Maybe none. This took years for me to figure out. Other people may not be a reflection of WHO or WHAT you are, but if someone enters your life, you do share a common thread with them somewhere.

We only perceive 10% of our thoughts, that means 90% of our subconscious thoughts, that we do not perceive, dominate our lives and our reality. Think about that! Even though you are not aware of your link to this person, know that you do share a link somewhere that you cannot perceive. This experience then becomes your responsibility.

How can you clear yourself? You can say "Father, Mother, Holy Divine of One and All, please forgive me for whatever I have done, past, present or future, to create this situation" Then say these 4 phrases, "I Love You", "I'm Sorry", "Please Forgive Me", and "Thank You". Say these 4 phrases over and over again and you will QUICKLY feel so much better. When you clear the situation in you, you will release the web of situation for the other person as well, without them ever knowing what you have done. Try this out. When you are talking to a loved one or friend and they are very upset about something and retelling you the story, know that since you are a perceiving the situation, it has then become your responsibility. Clear it with the above situation and you will see how quickly your friend or loved one loses their anger and steam. Just repeat it silently in your head until they lose steam about the subject. It is amazing.

There is a doctor that works emergency care and also works with hospice. He found 4 magical phrases that can transmute everything. He said when someone was dying and they were surrounded by their family, that he heard 4 phrases being repeated over and over, "I Love you", "I'm sorry", "Please Forgive Me", and "Thank You". He said these 10 words held so much power that it is almost unbelievable. He said the people that then transitioned after saying those words, had a very peaceful passing and the people that did not have a chance to say those words had a very different transition. He also noted that the families dealt with grief much differently as well.

The beauty in Ho'oponopono is that you say these words internally and to God, they do not have to ever be spoken to another human. The word, along with intention, really is very powerful.

I practice Ho'oponopono 100 times before getting out of bed each morning and 100 times before going to sleep at night. I also practice this during the day as often as I think about it because my goal is to clear out the 90% of programming that I am not aware of. I do not have to know what the situation I am clearing is nor do I need to direct the clearing anywhere. I am giving complete control to God to release what needs to be released. Since we already know that nothing happens without action, your part in this is that you are actively expressing love, asking for forgiveness, and expressing gratitude. You are taking action and handing the drivers seat over to God to transmute and release what is not of your highest good.

Remember, if you see something happening in the world that you do not like, change starts with you.

Getting Out Of The Way of Yourself

Getting Out Of The Way of Yourself
How do Religion and Politics Affect This?

I had a great conversation with someone yesterday and it ended up being the highlight of my day. We were talking about growth and why we, as humanity, get in the way of our own growth, healing, and daily lives. Neither one of us had the answer to that in the broad sense but it really doesn’t matter. What does matters is what I do in my own life not to interfere with my growth, healing and who I am. Many of my beliefs, thoughts, and realities are popular with other people, and some are not. I always think how boring our world would be if we all thought, spoke, acted and had the exact same beliefs. My upbringing taught me that we are all created as one. I know that is true. I am as equally as important as a tree in a forest. I am as significant as the ant. Everything is created by design and for purpose. Nothing happens as an accident. While we may have not had a certain vision in our mind, in the large picture, everything comes into fruition by divine design. With the thought that we are all one, where is the room for individuality? Everyone grows, learns, and experiences at a different pace. Some people are hit hard with experiences early on, some sail through life until they slam into a brick wall. This is where diversity is important. Since we are all connected, our own personal evolution is connected to the evolution of everything else. Notice the mental/emotional/physical state of the general population living in the United States. How many people do you know that have an ailment, are worriers, fearful, angry, complain, are tired, aging, and tend to be more negative than positive? Now how many people do you know are always uplifting? These ratios are often unbalanced in favor with the negative. Now look at how our environment tends to reflect that negativity. Kids are not like they were when I was growing up. Adults are not like they were when I was growing up. Society is not like it was when I was growing up. But there is a direct connection with how people feel and how that affects everything else. Negativity breeds more negativity unless you put a stop to it in your own life.

Politics and religion have always been of interest to me. These two subjects are two of the most controversial subjects that can bring up a heated discussion rather quickly. I know someone that owned a business. The business was VERY poorly run but it still managed to hang on. There were changes just about every month in personnel and it got to the point that the only people that went to work there were fresh out of school and they quickly were given an education in business success. This business held on for 7 years and had a slightly steady flow of customers. The business owner decided to verbally announce their political views in open forums. Within 3 months, there were ZERO clients and the doors closed. People are stuck on their own opinions and of course, most people feel their way is the right way and the ONLY way. Anyone that has a different opinion is deemed poorly misguided and disillusioned. But you see, in this thinking, people are standing in the way of their own growth. I am an open book. I allow all beliefs. I allow all people. What this means is that I am not going to think any differently about an atheist, a highly religious person, a family that does not go to church, or a psychic. I am not going to pity someone or believe they are misguided because they have the right to be who they are. Remember, we are all one. The hierarchy thinking has never proven to be a winner in the past and yes, history does repeat itself for these reasons.

Our family takes 2 trips to Austin each year, on a non-holiday, to feed homeless people on the street. The reason I point out non-holidays is because I believe you should never do something by guilt or because it is a time of year where it is expected that you are charitable. I have one charitable deed I do every day. I make sure I do at least something every day to unexpected enrich the life of someone else. Not because I have to or should, but because I have a vision of a world I am working towards. This vision is drawing more people to me that have the same vision. The change starts right here with me. In Austin, we fill our car and hand food out to the people on the street. This appalls some people. Some people are not for supporting homeless people, some people crusade for them. My opinion is this, they are human and they have a need. No matter what their circumstances are, no matter what their personal responsibility is or is not, does not matter to me. I don’t make judgments and I do not give something with expectations or with strings attached. I give because that is what is inside me. Of all the hundreds of people we have fed since moving down here, do you know what I have learned? The power in human random kindness. Homeless people have feelings. Their eyes well up with tears and when they say God Bless You as they are looking you straight in the eye and you are looking straight back at them, they mean it and you FEEL it. It also hits me in a way that I can never ever put into words because it touches my spirit and stirs something in me that I do not feel every second of every day. My life is an adventure and I am going to experience and learn all that I can so I can keep making ME a better place to live in.

The next time you come across someone that has a vastly different perspective than you do, acknowledge them for the human they are, and treat them with the same respect you want to be treated with. We are blessed with diversity and we can learn so much from others if we’d only get out of our own way.

WHY are we so fat?

WHY are we so fat?
the real answer once and for all

It appears that some people are really bothered by the word fat. If you are one of those people, I apologize in advance but please read on to understand how fat is not an ugly word, it is actually a self protective function of the body.

I have spoken often about the connection to emotions and toxicity. The body sees toxic emotions no different than a physical poison. The body handles all toxicity the SAME way. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver processes all of our thoughts and emotions. What are you feeding your liver? Someone following Dr Emoto's work took 3 grains of rice to carry out an experiment on the power of our emotions. To the 1st grain of rice, the family said "I Hate You" to it. The 2nd grain of rice, they said, "I Love You" to it. The 3rd grain of rice they completely ignored. After time had passed, the grain of rice they said "I Hate You" to was starting to decay. The 2nd grain of rice they said "I Love You" to still was in good condition. The 3rd grain of rice that they ignored, had rotted. Emotions have power. Many people stuff emotions down and ignore them. This is how disease gets a hold in the body. Other people are angry, and while they may not have a disease, they do have toxic personalities. These are people that are hard to be around for any length of time. There is a tv show called myth busters that carried out a similar experiment. I wrote about that in another blog so I will not revisit it here, but all of these independent experiments prove that emotions, while seemingly not tangible, do greatly affect you.

The body's response to negative emotions? Weight gain and swollen fat cells. The body protects itself by padding the internal body with cushioning. Think about the eating disorders that are emotion related: anexoria, bulemia, and emotional eating. Emotional eating is where people eat for comfort. There is such a large percent of the american culture that eats for comfort. Look back to the programming we had as children, and how we program our children today. Family events are celebrated in a restaurant, centered around food. Birthdays are centered around a birthday cake. If a child feels bad, we "cheer them up" with food. After winning a baseball game, families huddle around pizza or ice cream at the local shoppe. We use food all the time as a reward and comfort system, it is no wonder people turn to food for comfort.

But there is another aspect to fat that we have not considered and it has nothing to do with emotions and everything to do with toxic chemicals.

Toxic chemicals surround us and are making us fat despite no fat, low fat, exercise, and diets available today. Everyone is looking for the quick fix, but in order to understand what will help, you need to understand what is going on in the body. Our high stress, highly refined and processed diets, not having enough relaxing time or beneficial exercise, and not enjoying life enough leads us to an impaired detoxification system. Our major detox pathways have been interrupted and we no longer can expel harmful substances like our bodies once did. Picture a stopped up drain and there you have our detox pathways. Our lymph, our skin, our liver, kidneys, and lungs are not functioning at optimum anymore. Toxic chemicals are highly fat soluble. Which means, when the body cannot detox the toxins on it's own, it stores the toxins in the fat tissue and the cells fill up with lymphatic waste.

People think that if they are eating vegetables, they are healthy, but little is known about the way food is grown. Carbamates, also in medicines and cosmetics, are herbicides and pesticides sprayed on food and given to livestock to promote growth, fatten livestock and vegetables by slowing down the metabolic rate. We ingest these foods and this slows down our metabolic rate, causing weight gain.

If you experience hormone problems and researched the cause, you will find that hormone imbalance and toxins are directly related. Catecholamines, the body’s slimming hormones, are impaired by the toxins clogging up in your system. When adrenals are fatigued, you have a perfect recipe for low thyroid function to add on to your list of reasons why you are gaining weight.

I know it sounds daunting but I cannot stress enough the need to Detox, Detox, and Detox some more. In the world we live in, detoxing must be a part of our every day lives and I can promise you the detox packs you find at the health foods stores are not enough. You have a life time of built-up chemicals and toxins. If you have questions, look at our webpage. We not only offer detoxing options but we offer a plethora of information to educate you.

Morgellons, Cancer, Osteoporosis, Lymes, SARS, Staph Infections, Superbugs

Morgellons, Cancer, Osteoporosis, Lymes, SARS, Staph Infections, Superbugs, and all other Degenerative, Debilitating Disorders, Diseases and Illnesses

I want to start out by saying that we do not claim to cure anything. We do offer information based on our research and knowledge. This information and our programs are intended to educate and shed a beam of knowledge on the body/mind systems.

AY Wellness focuses on the Core. Whether you are researching Morgellons, Cancer, Fibromyalgia, MS, Chronic Fatigue, SARS, Super bugs, Lymes Disease, or any other disease, disorder, or affliction, you should be asking, what is the Core issue? There are a million and one therapies, herbs, remedies, and protocols all designed to rid the body of symptoms.

In order to understand why some protocols, herbs, theories work some of the time on some people and not all the time on all people, you need to understand what a symptom is: Any indication of a disease or injury perceived by the patient. -by the Oxford University Press. Put in our terms, a Symptom is just a manifestation of a series of events happening in the body, all stemming from One core issue. Before we get into the particulars of what we have found that does work, I want you to know, especially in the case of Morgellons, the mysterious thread disease, it does NOT matter what the origin of the substance is. It does NOT matter if it is parasitic, bacterial, or unidentified. Knowing WHAT something is, only helps us to deal with the symptoms, but that is only needed to control the outbreaks, not freeing the body from the affliction to begin with.

In the case of Morgellons, I believe that everyone has been exposed to it and that it is contagious. I believe people drink it, breathe it, it is in the food supply, and surrounds us constantly. I believe pets are affected as well. I believe many people walk around with it, having symptoms, but are unaware of what it exactly is because it seems to present in different ways. The answer to why it strikes some people and not others, can be found at the core. I personally work on people that have Morgellons and my heart goes out to the men, women, children, and babies being born with this. One of my interests and passions is helping people with Morgellons and people that are afflicted with any disease or disorder, because the core comes down to the same. It matters not what the disease or disorder IS, it only matters why YOU have it.

There will be people that read this and think it is pure hogwash. One of the people I work with that has Morgellons had come to me because he had already rejected someone else saying the same thing I am. The theory seemed too simple and yet too complicated. This man was bound and determined to find out what it was. In the meantime, this was eating him alive and he had lost all his relationships, including a spouse. Finally he came to realization that it didn't matter what the origins of Morgellons was and it no longer mattered that a university wouldn't tell him what it was, he only wanted some relief. He came to me with a broken spirit.

When I hear the stories of adults, teenagers, and children who are trapped in their diseases, without hope, it is heartbreaking. If what you are doing or researching is not working, read on with an open mind to what we have found.

For anyone that works with people that have diseases, it is easy to see personality similarities between people that have various disorders. Yes, diseases and disorders do have emotional origins. This does not mean people are mentally unstable or weak minded. What this means is that people experienced a series of events, whether physical or emotional, that they never felt safe enough to let go of. This could be something earth shattering or something as seemingly simple as an overbearing or non existent parent. Each and every one of our cells has a brain and consciousness of it's own. This is not pseudo new age thinking, it has actually been scientifically proven. The realities in our life, tend to repeat themselves over and over. Let's say you never felt you lived up to your mother's standards. Then as you grew up, you felt that there were many repeating situations where you let people down and did not live up to what you felt they expected of you. Seemingly not very important, but as you suppress those feelings, your body gets the message to stuff anything that is remotely similar down deep in your body. Toxicity is toxicity, whether it is an outright physical poison or it is a toxic emotion. Your body deals with it in all the same way. After so many years of this poison being stuffed to the inner recesses of the body, you find a disorder has manifested in the way of a symptom. But the body is amazing. You never just wake up one day with a symptom and BAM! are diagnosed with a disease, your body let's you know for decades there is a problem, you just ignore the warning signs. Aging, aches and pains, marks on the skin, memory problems, lack of energy, blood sugar, endocrine problems, are all minor annoyances are NOT normal. This is your body signaling to you that something is wrong! The skin, from wrinkles, to redness, to spots tell a story of internal imbalance. These are all warning signs the body is giving you before actual full blown symptoms manifest. Every "healthy" person walking around has a core issue stuffed somewhere in their body. But what makes it manifest in some people and not others?

Next we go on the journey of energy. There are 3 types of energy we have in this life. Our Universal energy (aka God Force energy) is our first energy, the second energy came from our parents the second they conceived us and the last type of energy is what we build up in this life. The first we deplete is our life accumulated energy, then we deplete our parental energy, and lastly, we deplete our universal energy. When that is gone, we die.

Children that receive toxicity from their mother during the pregnancy will have a harder time building a strong life force energy during their life. In the 9 months of growing, they typically will not be building high reserves. When babies are first born, they eat and sleep and that is about it. They are building reserves during this time. As children become older and older, they need less naps. Teenagers tend to need more sleep because they are buring their reserves faster than they are building. If parents were exhausted/fatigued or low on their own reserves of energy when a child was conceived, the child will not have a strong parental reserve energy to fall back on and will typically feel more drained and need more sleep, even as adults. Depression usually settles in to low-energy people as well. You can now understand why children are born with weaknesses and potential for diseases that are (so called) hereditary disorders.

When the body is toxic and the energy is low and people are not actively detoxifying their body, this creates a breeding ground for parasites, viruses, bacteria, microbes, and toxins. Have you ever stopped to think what the role is of parasites, bacteria, viruses, and microbes are in life? They do all have a roll, a very important roll! Their job is to break down what it not healthy. As icky as this may be for some people, it is typically why you see flies and bugs around something that is dying.

That's why you hear that cancer, chronic fatigue, AIDS, Morgellons, Diabetes, and every other disease has an association to bacteria, parasites or viruses. These associated bacteria, viruses, and parasites, are all doing their job to break down what is not healthy in the body.

So where does someone go that is looking for preventive help or help in deal with their associated disorder? Detoxify and Rebuild. Sounds simple, I know. It is not. Detoxifying every organ and every cell and then rebuilding is so far beyond what all over-the-counter or advertised main-stream detoxing will lead you to believe. It is one of the hardest things you will ever do in your life. It will change every cell of your being from physical to emotional to spiritual, IF you are willing to go through the processes. So many people go back to that core emotional issue and shield themselves so much that they will not let themselves advance and they never find any relief. No one starting out on this journey can quite comprehend all of this, or the changes that can take place, until they reach that point in their own journey where they fully are experiencing it. Even if you feel it is too simple, but believe in the principals of detoxification, what have you got to lose by trying it? Read more on our website.

Foot Detox- Scam or Real?

Foot Detox- Scam or Real?

Many people type in the words "Foot Detox Scam" in their favorite search engine. Maybe you are also wondering the very same thing. Are foot detoxes scams?

My approach and view of detoxing is slightly different than many other's. I am skeptical and sometimes saddened about some of the claims being made by people that promote the foot cleansing. I am skeptical because I do not know everything and just about the time that I do think I know everything, I learn something new, but I keep a discerning view until something convinces me otherwise. I feel saddened because there are great therapies available to people that are often cheapened by hype and false information. For the people that are mainstream and look for any reason to prove alternative therapies wrong, the hype gives them a hook to point out the "scam" behind the therapies. I feel it is a disservice that people try to oversell the foot detox by making false claims about its abilities. Some of what people say cannot be proven. Some of the claims are anecdotal and some are pure false advertising. While antidotes are great, they need to be confined to just that, anecdotal. I am a fact person. I like for science to back up therapies when possible. Now, this is not always the case with energy medicine, which I do believe in but that is a whole other category that the foot detox does not fall into. There are limitations to what the foot detox system can and cannot do. The foot detox is not a medical device; it was never intended to be. This is a non-medical non-intrusive machine. The foot detox can help in lightening the toxin load on a body, but let's stick to what the foot detox can do.

Many people take the "seeing is believing" approach to life. I try to explain to people that the color changes in the water do not mean much. I do not subscribe to the belief that red or orange means liver, green means gallbladder, etc. I do not pay much attention to the color, I do pay attention to smells, blood clots, parasites, yeast, acidity, and to how someone feels. The reason I do not hold much value in the the color changes in the water are due to action of the foot detox module. The water that is used has its own impurities that, due to the electrolysis, are drawn towards or separated from other components. Parts of the unit itself is metal and will break down as a result in the electrolysis reaction. The skin can also contain remnants of soap, creams, nail varnish, cleaning supplies, pollutants, bacteria, fungi and fibres. There is also a release of substances from the sebaceous glands and dead cells. Remember, our skin is our largest organ of detox. When it is not properly detoxing, the capillary micro-circulation and other internal influences will be released in the water. Color matters very little in foot detoxing. I have yet to see evidence that the foot detox actually pulls from organs, as is advertised every so often. I will explain the roll of the organs in foot detoxing below.

Now the science behind the foot detoxing theory is amazing and has been around for centuries. The beneficial properties of the galvanic current have long been recognized and used in many healing modalities that date back to the 1800's. The human body is made up of 60%-70% water. There are different types of salts within the body's fluids that are capable of conducting electricity and galvanic current. In fact, our whole body acts like an industrial plant that produces chemical reactions and generates electrical currents, which produce energy. Water is, of course, very fluid and has the ability to alter molecules in the presence of certain solutions and energies, which can also be referred to as 'memory'. Search out Dr Emoto's work on the memory and outside influence on water. Homeopathy and Macrobiotics use this understanding as the core for their therapies. When we place a part of our body into the foot detox water, our body fluids are actually molecularly changing to mimic the current of the footbath water and the current is able to then flow through our bodies. In Reflexology, Chinese, and Japanese Medicine, the hands and feet correspond to every organ in the body. Applying acupuncture needles or electric stimulation to these organ reflex points or meridian points sends a signal to that organ or body system. As acupuncture can stimulate the immune system, tonify, drain and build up energy in the body, organs and meridians, the galvanic current used in the foot detox serves the same purpose. What actually happens is the foot detox restores energy and balance, eases tension and blockages. This then helps the body's organs and systems to function correctly. In other words, the foot detox is another way that the body can recharge it's system and keep it running on high.

I have found that combination therapies provide the best and fastest results. Mystery Meat Tour

Mystery Meat Tour

I am officially grossed out. I have had an email sitting in my email box for quite a while from NewsTarget. I had not opened it. Well today I did and clicked on the link.

The link sent me to the NewsTarget website and was featuring what is really inside the popular brand named meats we buy. The caption warned that you should have an empty stomach. Whatever! Things like that do not bother me. I'm a veteran at things being much GROSS, especially what we eat. I have a passion for microscopes and microscopic critters that surround us. I have seen and heard about hotdogs and lunch meat a million times in the path of wellness. I do eat meat but have not eaten processed meats in the last 10 years. But there are times I still dream of cheese, crackers and salami like my childhood days; NOT anymore. I'll admit, by the end of these pictures, I was feeling slightly queasy.

If you have an interest for the perverse or really want to stop eating what is not healthy for you, click on this link and do NOT watch this if you have just eaten. Don't forget to read the captions under the pictures.

How Will YOU Die?

How Will YOU Die?

I ran across this article and wanted to share it because it is very thought provoking reality you should be thinking about. There is a RISE in diseases and illnesses, not a decline. What will another 20 years look like? Where will you be health wise, especially if you are already suffereing from "age related" medical-termed-realities? Whatever your parents have now, will be what you get (plus more) but at an earlier age. It's time to do something about it.
What Will You Die Of? -Roger Mason
We're all going to die like it or not. Even Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, and Mohammed died. We are only on earth for a very short time so let's make the best of it.
What are we going to die of? How can we live longer and not die prematurely? DIET, proven supplements, natural hormones, exercise, and fasting will all help us to live as long as possible. Quality of life is infinitely more important than quantity of life. Quality of life is everything.

What can we expect to die of?

The leading causes of death for Americans according to the National Center for Health Statistics are: Cardiovascular disease is far and away the biggest killer of all. The fact we eat 42% fat calories in our food is the basic reason for this. The most important indicator of CHD health is your total cholesterol (and triglyceride) level. Cancers of all types are the second leading cause of death. Prostate cancer in men and breast cancer in women are the leading cancers. We could almost put an end to cancer with diet and lifestyle changes. Stroke and similar conditions are the third cause. Here the 160 pounds of sugar we hog down every year seem to be a prime cause of brittle brain blood vessels. Emphysema and similar respiratory illnesses are the fourth cause.
Accidents, especially automobile crashes, are the fifth leading cause. Almost 50,000 people a year die in auto accidents alone. Alcohol and drugs play a big part here.
Diabetes is a growing epidemic in America. 1 in 3 American children born today will grow up to be diabetic. The 42% fat in our food, refined grains, and the 160 pounds of sugars we eat every year cause this more than anything.
Pneumonia and influenza (flu) are the seventh. This is due to low immunity basically. Alzheimer's disease was unknown fifty years ago. Now it affects millions of Americans every year. This is not to be confused with common senility. There are causes for this recent epidemic, but we're not yet clear on exactly what they are. Kidney failure such as nephritis and nephrosis is the ninth cause. Dialysis machines and kidney transplants are obviously not the answer here. Our kidneys fail due to abuse from bad diet, alcohol, prescription drugs, coffee, and other factors.
Blood infection or septicemia is the tenth leading cause of death. You hear very little about such a major cause of death. Low immunity again is the basic cause here.
Suicide is supposedly the eleventh cause, but a lot of deaths are not classified as such even though they should be. Suicide actually is more prevalent that the statistics say. When someone has three times the legal blood alcohol level and is driving at 70 miles an hour and crashes, that is not an accident- it is suicide. The main cause of suicide is depression.
Cirrhosis and liver disease (such as fatty liver) is the twelfth cause. Liver transplants are not the answer here. Our liver is the largest organ of the body (after the skin) and processes fats, drugs and chemicals. Better diet and lifestyle would pretty much eliminate all liver disease.
Hypertension or high blood pressure is another epidemic in America. Most of this is due to stress and insulin resistance. This is the thirteenth cause of death but contributes to early death in many other causes.
Homicide is the fourteenth cause, but much higher if you are African and much lower if you are European.
Parkinson's disease is the fifteenth cause of death. Poisoning people with prescription drugs is not the answer to this condition either.

All of these diseases and conditions could be reduced to a small fraction with healthier foods lifestyles.
Every year we eat more meals in fast food restaurants including McDonalds, Hardee's KFC, Wendy's, Pizza Hut and all the rest.
Until we change the way we live our quality of life will just get worse. Doctors, drugs, radiation, surgery and chemotherapy just deal with the symptoms of our problems and not the cause.

DHEA- reduces wrinkles... and life span?

DHEA- reduces wrinkles... and life span?

Okay, I know that was dramatic, but the potiential of using toxic substances day in and day out, without regard to the impact it has on our heath is dramatic.

Below is a paragraph from a book entitled Young Again by John Thomas. What do you really know about anti-aging products? I have questioned the safety of DHEA for years. A look into at the FDA website concerning the safety of cosmetic ingredients, will show you that DHEA is a neurotoxin at best. Putting a neurotoxin around your eyes, where the skin is thin and has more permeability, leaves me uneasy.

"DHEA is one of the magic bullet hormone analogs available over the counter. No one tells the public that there is NO difference between analogous DHEA, anabolic steroids, birth control pills, and estrogen replacements. All of them are VERY dangerous because they lock up the receptor sites in the body and prevent regulatory centers in the brain (hypothalamus, pituitary, and pineal) from keeping the body's hormones balanced and maintaining the body's terrain. Worse, analogs have a forever life and don't break down. Marketing claims of natural DHEA are BOGUS! Crafty chemists, have moved the -R group on the organic molecule so they can patent it. The real stuff can't be patented and anything natural isn't profitable for the industry. Real DHEA is made in the body by the adrenals, and production slows beginning at age 24 followed by other hormones like progesterone and melatonin. Stay away from these popular drugs. They are not safe. Once they attach to your receptor sites, you will become a prisoner of your own body."

No Excuses Rule

The No Excuses Rule

It's interesting to observe people. I have heard that the younger crowd has a sense of entitlement. Respect is harder to come by these days and just because you are older than someone, does not demand immediate respect any longer. I noticed there is a change in the younger crowd, but it's not only the younger crowd. I watch people that stand in lines or people that do not immediately get what they want when they want it. People huff and puff and get down right nasty at times. I went to Greece a few years ago. In a restaurant there was another American seated a few tables away. She did not like what was served to her and actually stood up in the restaurant and made a big scene. I heard the murmur of "American" around me while people just shook their head. It was then that I realized the youth of today are only mimicking what they observe around them. This is what has shaped their world. What lends to this selfishness? Is it the energies that are flooding into our world right now? Is it health imbalances that have people so fatigued and over stimulated that they snap easily? Is it the world's obsession with the rich and famous in Hollywood? Is it that people are so tired of being hurt that they hurt first? All personality imbalances stem from a chaotic metabolic system and all chaotic metabolic systems have a root cause in the energy of emotions long buried.

Excuses dot pretty much every conversation, whether it be kids or adults. When I was running late or failed to get something done, I would make an excuse. I used to be full of excuses then my husband told me something that changed my life 16 years ago. He told me that excuses only aggravated people and make them think worse of me. People really don't care WHY something happened or didn't happen, they only want to know WHEN it will be done or undone and HOW it will be done right next time. When you show personal responsibility, that tells people that what happened will never happen again because you are aware it is a problem. I used to justify myself all the time. I have learned that I do not need to do that. If I am late, I say I am sorry and leave it at that and make sure it does not happen again. I look at the cofactors that I chose to be late and change them. I look at excuses like the small everyday mental/emotional games people play. This falls into the victim/victimizer catagory. When you no longer make excuses for yourself, people cannot victimize you. It is amazingly freeing.

In my wellness center, in working with people, I hear excuses as to why people didn't or couldn't do something. But the thing is, I am here to educate people. I am here to show people there is another way. It is up to each individual person to act or not act on the information presented. It does not hurt me if someone does not implement something I have taught them. The path to wellness is all about personal responsibility. I do not judge someone because they do not do something. It is their choice. I find that some people are just not in the place that they are ready to heal or to get to the real issue of why they have an imbalance in the first place. I intrinsically love and respect ALL people, no matter what their path is, or where they are on their path. I plant seeds of information. Don't get me wrong, I would love for all people to completely put into action my teachings so they can reach new heights, but I do not judge anyone form holding themselves back.

My teachings empower people. In my center I have established the No Excuses Rule. No one has to justify to me their actions, but respect is always expected. I am merely presenting information and educating people on wellness from the inside out. Everyone is personally responsible for his or her own actions or non actions. My wellness center is a safe haven, free from judgment or justification. I present information without attachment to the outcome. This atmosphere tends to free people from their own limitations. I make sure that people understand the only limitations that are EVER put on them is by their own self. No one can impose limitations on you without you accepting or imposing those limitations on yourself first. It is never, nor has ever been, about what someone did to you, it is about what you do to yourself. Personal responsibility is the hardest thing you will ever have to do in life, but it is also the most freeing. Imagine a life where you could manifest anything you wanted, whenever you wanted. That is a life without justification.

With creating your life and personal responsibility comes the knowledge and respect that you are connected to everything. The awareness starts to filter in that what you do to someone or something else, comes back to you because we are all connected to each other. The plants, stones and trees, the Earth, animals, and people; we are all connected. If you cannot comprehend that right now, but are on the path of wellness, know that one day you will see and feel all of it clearly. It is almost like seeing the world in more vivid colors. You will start to see the beauty instead of the despair. The path of wellness is very much a sacred journey. The next time you go to justify yourself with an excuse, stop yourself. Know that every action is purely your responsibility and your choice and when you are responsible you do not need excuses. Fix what doesn't work in your life and teach your children the same principals. It is a big world out there with so many possibilities, do not limit children by teaching them excuses and lack of responsibility. In teaching your children, and others who may observe you in lines or restaurants, personal responsibility and the connection to all things, you will truly be giving them the gift of a blessed life without limitations.

Supplements: Good or Bad

Supplements
good or bad?

By now you are probably aware that I am not a firm advocate of mass supplementation. When I hear someone tell another person that they need to take calcium because they are over 40 or because they smoke, I just shake my head. I do not think the general population of wellness advocates are out to intentionally harm you, but they are unknowingly doing just that. It amazes me how many people are too high in calcium. Whatever calcium you are taking into your body may not be right for your body. It may not be bio-available so your body throws that calcium in your arteries and tissues without you ever knowing it. Your hair and nails become dry and brittle and your bones are affected as well. A bone density test may even say you need more calcium, but you really do not need MORE calcium, you need the RIGHT calcium for your body. Because your body is not utilizing the calcium you are taking, your body pulls the reserved calcium from your bones and teeth. The more your bones moan and groan, the more calcium you take, thinking you need more, and you are quickly breaking down your body. A mineral or vitamin may seem harmless, but once it gets into your body in mass doses, it may become harmful.

Remember that we do receive vitamins and minerals from the simple source of our food. Not to mention that our food is very often "enriched" with added nutrients. You could very well be slowly poisoning your self by mass supplementing.

Every vitamin, mineral, or herb has either a yin or yang, acid or alkaline, component to it. It is the yin or yang value of the supplements that can correct an imbalance. If you are mass supplementing yourself, chances are you are mixing the yin and yang expressions in your supplements, causing them to cancel out their total benefits. Feed your body what it needs, not what it doesn't.

Correcting an overtaxed, imbalanced, system that we have damaged over years can take about a year or longer depending on the condition of your body. Damage occurs from our thoughts and emotions, not eating the right food for our individual body (eating "healthy" is not enough), toxic chemicals in our air, food and water, electropollution, and a myraid of other factors. Healing and rebalancing are not a fast process but there are things you can do to speed the process up: detoxification, therapies that are appropriate for you, healthy eating designed for YOUR body, and addressing your subconscious and conscious thoughts. On this journey you will find the sacredness of You. The feeling is not anything I can explain because it is a gentle shift within you and every one experiences it differently. The sacredness of cleansing and rebuilding your body is found individually by each person, in their own time. This sacredness changes detoxifying and healthy living from a chore into a gift. It is an amazing ride if you are serious about recliaming your wellness and vitality.

Medical or Wellness: Which Do You Believe?

Medical or Wellness
Which Do You Believe?

The answer is...neither one. The wellness revolution is gaining in popularity and has the same hang-ups as the medical field. While there are good practitioners, just like there are good doctors, there are also many opportunistic sharks swimming in the wellness field. The wellness industry is the next .com business and people are jumping on board to make their fast buck without regard of possible long term effects. Let me clarify by saying that there isn't anything wrong with making money and living well doing something you love to do. However, the same pitfalls befall the wellness company. The individuality is brutally missing in much of the mainstream wellness care. Vitamins, minerals, herbs and supplements are mass recommended, and recommended too much, without regard to the individual.

Do you supplement with Vitamin C? Did you know that it may not be doing your body any good? Did you know that if you have alkaline blood than you should take the ascorbic acid form of Vitamin C but if you have acidic blood, you should be taking the alkalizing calcium ascorbate form of Vitamin C.

I hold the ancient belief that supplements and minerals should be used as a therapy for a short period of time. To balance out an imbalance.

Do you see that someone telling you that you need to take a multitude of mass produced supplements for the rest of your life, is no different than telling you that you have to take pharmaceutical drugs for the rest of your life? If your body doesn't need something, or is not able to utilize something, why should you continually ingest it? Blindly supplementing and self diagnosis rarely works and always has side effects that you may or may not be aware of. I promote informed choice and taking your health into your own hands, but know exactly what it is you are dealing with in the first place. You will generally have to go to several practitioners or doctors to get a full picture.

Someone that practices or promotes a therapy that does not consider long term effects, is not helping anyone. Everything is okay in small doses, but long term use could present unrepairable damage that you will see in a break down of vital body systems 20 years from now. What is good for one person will not necessarily be good for another.

Also remember there is usually a small kernel of truth in ALL things, so do not discount something just because you don't believe in it. It may simply be that it is not for you or that you are being too closed minded to see the potentials. We've all been introduced to something we thought was hogwash, yet finding ourselves interested or using that very same thing 10 or more years later. As we change, so do our perceptions, judgments, and filters. Do not close the door on something that may be good for you and research, research, research so you can make an informed decision. Wayne Dyer once was asked if he was offended by people using crystals. He answered that if he had hemorrhoids and someone told him a crystal would cure them, he would buy crystal chairs to sit in!

The point is, do not blindly follow the wellness industry and know that wellness practitioners will usually not completely agree with another's therapy. So use your opinions from your own research and knowledge, not someone else's. Use your gut feelings. Do not listen to anyone telling you what you have to do or should be doing. Make informed choices and experience what you are moved to experience. If something works for you, you will know it. If it does not, move on quickly without doubt. The real key is to move back to the basics.

Here are 5 principals to aspire to in health and wellness. How you get there will be individual and up to you.

1. Detoxify your body and mind
2. Correct the remaining imbalances with therapies and supplements
3. Once balanced, use food as your medicine to keep you balanced
4. Keep your mind and emotions clear
5. Live to experience and honor all things, no matter how they present to you

Power of Simplicty (excerpt)

The Power of Simplicity
excerpt from the introduction on a soon to be published book by Kelly Colby-Nunez

The Journey of Simplicity

I was on the veranda of a quaint Italian restaurant with a man from Europe. Spirit had unexpectedly led our paths together. “You Americans do not know the real definition of regeneration.” he sighed with exasperation. “You all want to be complex and in being so, you miss the power in simplicity.” I was bemused by the “you, Americans” term but silently agreed with the truth he spoke. I intently absorbed what he was saying to me because I had been on the path of simplicity for years and was in the middle of writing this book.

While I did not learn anything particularly new from this French gentleman, he was my “ah ha” moment. That was the evening my puzzle pieces fell into their resting place. I believe everything happens to us for a reason. While I fully believe that we can consciously create our reality, I also believe there is a spirit force that is outside of our manifesting abilities that has a constant guiding hand in our lives. There is a spirit force that ebbs and flows within our lives. Whether we view this flow as bad or good, is up to us to control how we view our own circumstances. The circumstances in my life that have been challenging have also been the greatest learning and rewarding experiences. These situations forced me to change gears and go with the spirit flow to find what I needed. I could not have orchestrated a better spiritual influence, but most people would not look at it this way. I had two children that were seriously ill. Had I not went on the journey of health, I do not believe they would be here today. But instead of dwelling on the pain or what could have been, I looked at the situations through my spirit eyes and I gained great gifts that I am sharing in this book. The Power of Simplicity was borne out of years of experience, research, learning and spiritual knowing. I hope, through the words in this book, you will find your own Power of Simplicity.

The Truth About Lasers in the Anti-Aging Field

The Truth About Lasers in the Anti-Aging Field
By: Kelly Colby-Nunez

This is a reprint of a published article.
Are you tired of seeing the same old therapies advertised in the anti-aging and medispa scenes?
If you are like me, then you have had some laser work done, only to be disappointed. Every magazine I open up, every medispa, medical office, and spa that I pass are promoting a laser that will erase away the wrinkles, even out your skin tone, reduce the appearance of pores, and give you the Fountain of Youth.
I am a clinical aesthetician, and I can tell you, most of that is hype. My concentration is on exposing what does not work. I also educate people on the long-term risks of many popular therapies, while offering information on natural therapies that do work. I have my concerns with laser; with everything from efficacy, to technical and artistic ability of the one running the laser, to inducing an injury to the skin that causes collagen to form as Scar Tissue. This is known as Unhealthy collagen. When I work with someone, the minute I touch their skin, I can tell if they have had laser treatments. The skin feels very different. Your skin is your largest organ of detoxification, imagine how scar tissue would impede this natural and much needed biological function.
The technology behind lasers is sound in a controlled environment, yet long-term implications are not taken into consideration nor discussed with patients. Very few aestheticians or technicians receive proper laser education, even in doctor's offices. Education ranges from a few hours to a couple of days for a rare few. Because the lasers, burn and traumatize the skin, the targeted pigmentation in skin is often suppressed. Most people find that after their initial treatment of 6 laser sessions, they have to come back every 4-6 months to have the session repeated again.
We have something in our body called a Hayflick limit. Leonard Hayflick discovered this limit in 1965. Hayflick observed that human cells divide about 52 times before dying. As cells approach this limit, they show more signs of old age. The limit is believed to be one of the causes of aging. If the cell turnover can be slowed, life expectancy can be extended. Now this sheds a whole new light on the responsibility of the skin care industry. Lasers blast through the skin and any laser rep will tell you that most of the energy is focused at a specific target, but some of the laser light scatters, affecting other areas not intended. They are also quick to say that this does not mean anything. Well, given the above statement, that does mean something. In the skin care industry we are told that cell turnover slows down as we age and we need to speed it up to have younger looking skin. Cell turnover slows down as a natural protective mechanism that keeps us from aging quicker than we should and ultimately prevents us from meeting an early than expected death. Our cells help create energy for our body so we can sustain life. When our cells cannot function correctly, disease and death of the cell quickly sets in. This reduces quality of your life.
To be fair, lasers have brought about some great results for people that deeply needed resurfacing. My concern is not with the therapeutic uses of laser but the casual use of the lasers being marketed to everyone on every street corner.
Most people are not aware that your skin is only a reflection of what is happening internally. Age spots, sun spots, wrinkles, freckles, small red veins, large pores, and sagging skin is only a result of internal imbalance. This can be reversed by working on the inside of the body by taking a wellness approach to life.
Many people still want a quick fix and there is good news. There is a highly effective, natural skin therapy that comes from Europe and is called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). CIT can be thought of as a more natural alternative to lasers and harsh skin care treatments. In many cases, the CIT produces greater results than many popular skin treatments, without causing unnatural cell turn over. This procedure does not involve chemicals, lasers or injecting substances into your skin. There is no down time and no pain associated with this treatment. The secret to this therapy is based on changing the electric charge in each cell of the skin, using an affordable roller type of device known as the Dermaroller. This treatment taps into the very reason why salamanders can re-grow a tail. Imagine what that means for truly regenerating your skin! The CIT procedure is a very affordable and effective means to smooth acne scars, balance out dry or oily skin, create collagen and elastin to reduce wrinkles and sagging skin, and helps to even skin tone and texture. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/index.php?nothanks=1

On average, women and men absorb 5 pounds of toxins a year from hair care and makeup alone.

If you are having trouble losing or gaining weight or if you are sick and tired, may I suggest that the skin or hair care products you use, combined with your makeup may be making you sick, tired, underweight or overweight!

Chemicals you do not want on your skin

Chemicals you do not want on your skin

This is a 'short-list' of some of the more hazardous and toxic chemicals you will often find in your skin and personal care products. Take a very close look at the labels of your skin and personal care products, including your hair shampoo and conditioner and see if any of these potentially toxic chemicals described here are listed on the label.

If they are there, you should seriously consider finding an alternative that does not contain any of these chemicals and toss the old products out. Health food stores will offer alternatives as well as online sources.

While the majority of people will not give up hair color, hair spray, or perfume, I do recommend cutting down on as many chemicals as possible. Detox your body to stop your body from storing the chemicals. These chemicals only cause a problem when they have not been detoxed out of the body and are built up in your organs and tissues.

Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and/or Ethyl Paraben. Used as preservatives to extend the shelf life of skin and personal care products. Parabens have been reported to have caused many allergic reactions and skin rashes. Studies have shown that they are weakly estrogenic and can be absorbed by the body through the skin. Widely used even though they are potentially toxic. (See Scientific Literature).

Diethanolamine (DEA), Triethanolamine (TEA) DEA and TEA are often used in cosmetics and shampoos as emulsifiers and/or foaming agents. They can cause allergic reactions, eye irritation and dryness of hair and skin. DEA and TEA are "amines" (ammonia compounds) and can form cancer-causing nitrosamines when they come in contact with nitrates. They are toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time. (See Scientific Literature).

Diazolidinyl Urea, Imidazolidinyl UreaThese are widely used preservatives. The American Academy of Dermatology has found them to be a primary cause of contact dermatitis. Two trade names for these chemicals are Germall II and Germall 115. Neither of the Germall chemicals contains a good antifungal agent, and they must be combined with other preservatives. Both these chemicals release formaldehyde, which can be toxic. (See Scientific Literature).

Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate. A cheap, harsh detergent used in shampoos, bubble baths, hand and body wash products for its cleansing and foam-building properties. Often derived from petroleum, it is frequently disguised in pseudo-natural cosmetics with the phrase "comes from coconuts." It causes eye irritation, scalp scurf similar to dandruff, skin rashes and other allergic reactions. Avoid at all cost. (See Scientific Literature).

Methylisothiazoline (MIT)Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) is a biocide widely used in industrial and cosmetic products and has been shown to pose a potential risk to unborn babies. It is widely used in shampoos and there very well could be neuro-developmental consequences from Mit. It is of particularly concerned to women with occupational exposure to MIT during pregnancy as there is a possibility of risk to the foetus. Avoid at all cost. (See Scientific Literature).

PetrolatumAlso known as petroleum jelly, this mineral oil derivative is used for its emollient properties in cosmetics. It has no nutrient value for the skin and can interfere with the body's own natural moisturizing mechanism, leading to dryness and chapping. It often creates the very conditions it claims to alleviate. Manufacturers use petrolatum because it is unbelievably cheap. Most Petro-chemicals are carcinogens and are to be avoided. (See Scientific Literature).

Propylene Glycol. Ideally this is a vegetable glycerin mixed with grain alcohol, both of which are natural. Usually it is a synthetic petrochemical mix used as a humectant. It has been known to cause allergic reactions, hives and eczema. When you see PEG (polyethylene glycol) or PPG (polypropylene glycol) on labels, beware—these are related synthetics. The natural versions are fine and perfectly safe, not so their synthetic counter parts.
PVP/VA CopolymerA petroleum-derived chemical used in hairsprays, styling aids and other cosmetics. It can be considered toxic, since inhaled particles can damage the lungs of sensitive persons. Most Petro-chemicals are carcinogens.
Stearalkonium Chloride. A plant-derived ingredient, it reduces static electricity by neutralizing electrical charges on hair, and is a good conditioning agent. It is a quaternary ammonium compound also used in hair conditioners and creams. Developed by the fabric industry as a fabric softener, it is a lot cheaper and easier to use in hair conditioning formulas than proteins or herbals, which are beneficial to the hair. Causes allergic reactions. Potentially toxic.

Synthetic Colors used to make cosmetics "pretty," synthetic colors, along with synthetic hair dyes, should be avoided at all costs. They will be labeled as FD&C or D&C, followed by a color and a number. Example: FD&C Red No. 3 / D&C Green No. 6. Many synthetic colors can be carcinogenic. If a cosmetic contains them, don't use it.
(See Scientific Literature).

Synthetic Fragrances. The synthetic fragrances used in cosmetics can have as many as 200 ingredients. There is no way to know what the chemicals are, since on the label it will simply read "fragrance." Some problems caused by these chemicals include headaches, dizziness, rash, hyperpigmentation, violent coughing, vomiting, skin irritation—the list goes on. Synthetic fragrances should be avoided. Be careful when looking at these because often the label may say "fragrance of Lavender", or fragrance of "Rose" or similarly popular essential oils. Fragrance of = Synthetic, NOT the real essential oil.

There are thousands more chemicals and it is not the intention of this article to bore you, but rather to alert you to some of the most commonly used chemicals which are found in most brands on your department store and supermarket shelves.

Natural Skin Care: I Think NOT!

Natural Skin Care: I Think NOT!

Natural Skin Care products change rapidly from the live plant to the laboratory. Don't be fooled into thinking natural is necessarily better for you because the term "natural" seems to be interchangeable in the skin care and health field. Many products touted as natural contain a list of chemicals a mile long to "stabilize" and "preserve" them. The other issue is that when you take a whole plant, it is a synergistic being. All components of that plant go into making its therapeutic properties. Isolating beneficial chemicals and compounds and then refining them changes their energetic structure. If science could create a heart that lived outside the body, would it have the same impact as the heart living inside the body? No. The function could be the same but all the chemicals in the body that interact with the heart would be missing. Robots preform the functions of man, but still are not human because they lack the synergistic properties of the human body.
Many times, the extraction process for plants and herbs is harsh and unnatural, which destroys the natural compounds and balance.
Natural skin care products are no longer clearly defined and are undergoing critical review in terms of their 'natural' components. Many companies are promoting their products as natural, however adding isolated substances, although extracted from natural sources, is not what is meant by natural skin care or natural personal care products.

What Characterizes Beauty?

What Characterizes Beauty?

According to Thomas Rabe, a research fellow at Procter & Gamble, surprisingly similar standards of beauty have endured throughout the ages, regardless of ethnicity or geographical area. These standards include:

• Full lips
• Naturally glowing pink lips and cheeks
• Large eyes
• Prominent, long, curled, dark eyelashes
• Smooth skin with subtle tonal variation
• Taught, soft skin structure
• Prominent cheekbones
• Saturated life-like color

I often hear that skin care is a luxury. Skin care should be a necessity not a luxury. Our appearance is how we view ourselves. It is also how the world views us. Right or wrong, instantaneous impressions often speak louder than words and influence our thoughts, actions and reactions to people. If your skin is aging, so is your internal body. I just had a client say to me that we are degrading and dying from the moment we are born. I do not agree with that. I know women in men that are in their later years that are more vibrant, active, quick, and full-of-life than many 30 year olds. Ask them if they feel they started to die when they were born and they will probably laugh at you. I see life, health and vitality in another way. I see a life that is full and happy; it just depends on how YOU want to view life.
While there are some things in the list above that would take a plastic surgeon to change, skin care therapists can change, maximize and minimize the list according to the standards of beauty. As we age, our lymphatic system tends to slow down due to toxic build-up. This build-up causes a back flow of retained fluid that causes facial swelling. Facial swelling makes eyes appear smaller, cheekbones disappear, and gives a soft flabby appearance.
As we age, our lips tends to shrink and collagen is lost. Through an unhealthy lifestyle, people find their skin becomes thicker, less supple and youthful. Healthy color changes and that glow is lost. Hair thins and eyelashes and eyebrows do the same. Many people attribute this to the aging process, not to years worth of an unhealthy lifestyle. An unhealthy lifestyle breaks down vitality and beauty, not age. Age is ONLY a build-up of unhealthy habits.
Aestheticians and skin care therapists can drain lymphatic build-up, rebuild collagen to maintain or find that youthful plumpness, enhance the growth of eyelashes and eyebrows, and retexturize the skin. Wellness aestheticians can start to repair the damage internally and externally allowing the skin to glow and rebuild permanently once again.

The Amazing Health Transformation Program™

The Amazing Health Transformation Program™
The most powerful Health Experience you've ever had!

Experience a life free from pain and suffering. Live full of happiness and peace.

I believe in a Healing-vs-Symptom Removal therapy: going to the core of issues not just removing symptoms.

Read more about this here

Health is much more than eating the right foods or exercising. To maintain a healthy body, you need a healthy body to start with.
And that's what we're here for!

Are you sick of being tired and tired of being sick? Are you currently or have worked with therapies that did not produce the results or change your life like you expected?

The problem is that we are all bio-chemcially, bio-energetically and bio-magnetically different. There cannot be a one-size-fits-all approach to health care. If your health care professional is not addressing all aspects of your being then you are not getting what you need or should be getting; quality of life.

Our body is multi-layered. When you peel back one layer, you have another layer to address. This is how health issues remain in our tissues; via layers. The wellness process does not happen over night because it took a lifetime of layering to produce your current state of mental, emotional and physical health.

Show me someone who is living, breathing, and working in our society and I will show you many of the organs and systems, depleted and in excess, that are already taxed by our living environment. No one escapes this unless they are actively working towards maintaining amazing health.

The core of this program is to lead you into a new life. It is a life of effortless living, with excellent health, long life and plenty of time to enjoy it and accomplish wonderful things in your life. Your goal is to create this life so you will not "decline" and will have your vitality and independence well into old age.

Exercise Can Lead To An Early Death?

Exercise Can Lead To An Early Death?

Just like all things in our society, there are many myths about exercise. Dr. Wilson recently reported some of the myths surrounding exercise. There was a time when we heard stories of athletes that died suddenly, and it shocked us. This news no longer shocks us because we are hearing it more and more often. I've already explained in previous blogs about the yin and yang balance in our life and how the people that seem the healthiest, may just well be the ones that are most susceptible to diseases and an early death. While exercise provides benefits, the wrong kind of exercise can kill you.

Myth #1. Strong muscles and a beautiful body indicate you are in good health.
These may make you feel like you have health, and everyone may tell you how wonderful you look. However, I work with people who look great, but have cancer or some other disease. It is certainly wise to care for your body, but health goes far beyond muscles and fat content. Don't judge yourself and others only in terms of how much exercise you can do. Physical strength is only one parameter of health.

Myth #2. A healthy heart and healthy arteries indicate you are healthy.
This is a recent fetish. Experience with many people shows that if your body chemistry is truly in balance, your arteries and heart will be fine. Gentle exercise is beneficial for everyone, but a narrow-minded focus on cardiovascular fitness is insane. Recently a 25-year old woman consulted me complaining of fatigue and depression. She was doing aerobic exercise 3-5 evenings a week. Her heart and arteries were probably fine, but her glandular system was so exhausted she could hardly get out of bed in the morning. Her hair analysis indicated a depleted, exhausted body. Exercise was just aggravating the problem. This case is typical of the 'exhausted exerciser'.

Myth #3. Exercise rebuilds your body.
Exercise assists circulation of the blood and oxygenation of tissues, and can help rebuilding in this sense. Mild to moderate exercise is excellent for these purposes. Excessive exercise, however, can stress the heart, arteries, and glands. They are forced them to respond to stress, and to use up energy in that response. Muscles enlarge as a response or accommodation to stress. Healing and rebuilding is largely a biochemical phenomenon, requiring proper nutrients, and often requiring rest so that energy can be directed to the area in need of healing. Research supports the idea that moderate exercise can provide the same benefits as vigorous exercise. The point is, don't overdo exercise any more than you would overdo any other activity. To exercise when you feel well is great. To exercise "in order to feel well" is skating on thin ice. Today, most people are subtly malnourished due to consumption of food that is low in trace elements and other nutrients. No amount of exercise will make up for these deficiencies. It is a mistake to think you can compensate for a biochemical problem by exercising. The result will be that you will feel well for a while. Later, you will find yourself addicted to exercise. If you skip it for two days, you will feel depressed, irritable or exhausted. This occurs because exercise stimulates the adrenal glands and can keep exhausted glands functioning - like whipping a tired horse. If you stop whipping, naturally the horse will not feel like getting up.

Myth #4. Exercise cannot be harmful.
Most marathon runners are good for several years. Then they must retire because they are 'burned out'. Many professional athletes die young. Indeed, they have one of the shortest life spans of any group of adults. The slow heartbeat of professional runners is due in part to their healthy heart, but also due to a mechanism to slow their metabolism, because they put such strain on their heart. Cysteine is released from muscle tissue and slows the thyroid. The idea that since a little is good, more must be better, can be lethal when applied to exercise.

The great exercise guru, Dr. Kenneth Cooper, author of Aerobics, recently changed his mind about heavy exercise. According to his press release, he became disturbed by repeated stories of young people, supposedly in the best of shape, who developed cancer or had heart attacks at a young age. He has realized that gentle moderate exercise is plenty and no longer recommends the same level of vigorous exercise he once advocated.

Food For Thought:Clearing the Clutter On What You Should Be Eating

Food For Thought:Eating According To Your OWN Lifestyle

While you won't hear me tell you eating vegetables are bad, you will hear me say that I don't agree with vegetarianism; for everyone. I have heard all the reasons, including our teeth being shaped the way they are because we were meant to be plant eaters. While, to some degree, I believe the majority of the arguments for vegetarism, I don't subscribe to a one size fits all approach. Many of our bodies need the minerals we derive from meat. In one of my blogs, I talk about life style playing a part in how and what we eat. Our bodies are all multi-faceted. Every interplay needs to be taken into account when designing your health. This article says it all.

A young man who was very athletic, exposed himself constantly to stress during football practices. In time, he came to believe that the eating of meat (excessive fat) led to heart disease, and he had heard of football players dropping dead on the field from heart failure. This young man was very misinformed. Because of his physically stressful lifestyle, he should have made a priority of eating lean red meat on a regular basis. Instead, he eliminated all red meat from his diet and as a result became zinc deficient. Red meats are the richest food source of zinc. Consequently his copper level increased, which in turn caused his potassium level to drop precipitously. This young man also refrained from eating table salt (sodium) because he was influenced by the media regarding the dangers of sodium intake with regard to high blood pressure and heart disorders. Normal adrenal gland function is necessary to retain sodium in optimal amounts. Because many of us restrict our sodium intake and because of burnout, we have evolved into a race that has smaller adrenal glands than our more energetic and aggressive ancestors who helped build our civilization as we know it. This young man sought out a hair analysis because he was troubled by unrelenting fatigue, which was adversely affecting his athletic performance. His hair analysis report indicated extremely low sodium and potassium levels. He was advised to avoid any physically or mentally exhausting activities that would cause him to lose additional sodium and potassium. He was warned to stay away from hot showers or a jacuzzi because excessive sweating would promote excessive potassium and sodium losses. Heart failure frequently occurs when sodium and potassium levels are extremely low or extremely high. He continued to participate in football practices and unwind in the hot jacuzzi, which unfortunately cost him his life. He died of heart failure in a hot water jacuzzi. Adrenal burnout or low sodium and potassium levels are not to be taken lightly.

The Amazing Detox Properties In Your Daily Breakfast Drink

I'd really like to start this out as "Ode To The Coffee Enema" because the coffee enema is one of the most powerful healing tools we have at our disposal. No pun intended.

I really am amazed that people will accept surgery, life long pharmaceutical drugs, and even a death sentence from a doctor, yet quickly dispell the benefits of coffee enemas. Why? Because coffee enemas are not socially acceptable? Because sticking something up your rear seems "gay"? These two comments are the ones I hear most often. When it comes to your health, I say who cares what other people think! Entering into the realm of alternative care generally makes everyone feel uncomfortable at some point. Many of the therapies generally go against everything mainstream has to say is good for us. We've all heard the word enema and shuddered at some point. Enemas, like everything else, can be looked at in a good way or a bad way. It's up to you to make that choice. I usually ask people to do research and give something a try, a few times, before they form their opinion. The majority of people that come to me have never let society dictate who they were or what they should do. I always wonder why these same people let society and other people's opinions affect their choice in enemas or colonics. My goal is for people to start viewing coffee enemas for what they are; a wonderful healing tool.

An enema is “a fluid injected into the rectum for the purpose of clearing out the bowel, or of administering drugs or food.” The word itself comes from the Greek “en-hienai,” meaning to “send or inject into.” The enema has been called “one of the oldest medical procedures still used today.” Tribal women in Africa, and elsewhere, routinely use it on their children. The earliest medical text in existence, the Egyptian Ebers Papyrus, from 1500 B.C., mentions it. Millennia before, the Pharaoh had a “guardian of the anus,” a special doctor, one of whose purposes was to administer the royal enema.

The Greeks wrote of the fabled cleanliness of the Egyptians, which included the internal cleansing of their systems through emetics and enemas. They employed these on 3 consecutive days a month said Herodotus (II.77) or at intervals of 3 or 4 days, according to a later historian Diodorus. The Egyptians explained to their visitors that they did this because they “believed that diseases were engendered by superfluities of the food,” a modern-sounding theory!

Enemas were known in ancient Sumeria, Babylonia, India, Greece, and China. American Indians independently invented it, using a syringe made of an animal bladder and a hollow leg bone. Pre-Columbian South Americans fashioned latex into the first rubber enema bags and tubes. In fact, there is hardly a region of the world where people did not discover or adapt the enema. It is more ubiquitous than the wheel. Enemas are found in world literature from Aristophanes to Shakespeare, Gulliver Travels to Peyton Place.

In pre-revolutionary France, a daily enema after dinner was de rigueur. It was not only considered indispensable for health but also practiced for good complexion as well. Louis XIV is said to have taken over 2,000 in his lifetime. Could this have been the source of the Sun King’s sunny disposition? For centuries, enemas were a routine home remedy. In recent times, the routine use of enemas died out. The main times that doctors employ them nowadays are before and after surgery and childbirth. Difficult and potentially dangerous barium enemas before colonic X-rays are of course still a favorite among allopathic doctors.

The coffee bean has an interesting history. It was imported in Arabia in the early 1500’s by the Sufi religious mystics, who used it to fight drowsiness while praying. It was especially prized for its medicinal qualities, in both the Near East and Europe. No one knows when the first daring soul filled an enema bag with a quart of java. What is known is that the coffee enema appeared at least as early as 1917 and was found in the prestigious Merck Manual until 1972. In the 1920’s, German scientists found that a caffeine solution could open the bile ducts and stimulate the production of bile in the liver of experimental animals.

Dr. Max Gerson used this clinically as part of a general detoxification regimen, first for tuberculosis, then cancer. Caffeine, he postulated, will travel up the hemorrhoidal to the portal vein and then to the liver. Gerson noted some remarkable effects of this procedure. For instance, patients did not need their usually prescribed painkillers once on the enemas. Many people have noted the paradoxical calming effect of coffee enemas. And while coffee enemas can relieve constipation, Gerson cautioned: “Patients have to know that the coffee enemas are not given for the function of the intestines but for the stimulation of the liver.”
Coffee enemas were an established part of medical practice when Dr. Max Gerson introduced them into cancer therapy in the 1930s. Basing himself on German laboratory work, Gerson believed that caffeine could stimulate the liver and gall bladder to discharge bile. He felt this process could contribute to the health of the cancer patient.

Although the coffee enema has been heaped with scorn, there has been some independent scientific work that gives credence to the value of the coffee enema. In 1981, for example, Dr. Lee Wattenberg and his colleagues were soon able to show that substances found in coffee, kahweol and cafestol palimate, promote the activity of a key enzyme system, glutathione S-transferase, above its normal activity. This system detoxifies a vast array of electrophiles from the bloodstream and, according to Gar Hildenbrand of the Gerson Institute, “must be regarded as an important mechanism for carcinogen detoxification.” This enzyme group is responsible for neutralizing free radicals, harmful chemicals now commonly implicated in the initiation of cancer. In mice, for example, these systems are enhanced 600% in the liver and 700% in the bowel when coffee beans are added to the mice’s diet.

Dr. Peter Lechner, who is investigating the Gerson method at the Ladneskrankenhaus of Graz, Austria, has reported that “coffee enemas have a definite effect on the colon which can be observed with an endoscope.” F.W. Cope (1977) has postulated the existence of a “tissue damage syndrome.” When cells are challenged by a poison, oxygen deprivation, malnutrition or a physical trauma they lose potassium, take on sodium and chloride, and swell up with excess water. Another scientist (Ling) has suggested that water in a normal cell is contained in a crystalline structure. Being alive requires not just the right chemicals, but also the right chemical structure. Cells normally have a preference for potassium over sodium, but when a cell is damaged it begins to prefer sodium. This craving results in a damaged ability of cells to repair themselves and to utilize energy. Further, damaged cells produce toxins; around tumors there are zones of “wounded” but still non-malignant tissue, swollen with salt and water.

Gerson believed it axiomatic that cancer could not exist in normal metabolism. He pointed to the fact that scientists often had to damage an animal’s thyroid and adrenals just to get a transplanted tumor to “take.” He directed his efforts toward creating normal metabolism in the tissue surrounding a tumor.

It is the liver and small bowel that neutralize the most common tissue toxins: polyamines, ammonia, toxic-bound nitrogen and electrophiles. These detoxification systems are enhanced by the coffee enema. Physiological chemistry and physics has stated “caffeine enemas cause dilation of bile ducts, which facilitates excretion of toxic cancer breakdown products by the liver and dialysis of toxic products across the colonic wall.” In addition, theophylline and theobromine, two other chemicals in coffee, dilate blood vessels and counter inflammation of the gut; the palimates enhance the enzyme system responsible for the removal of toxic free radicals from the serum; and the fluid of the enema then stimulates the visceral nervous system to promote peristalsis and the transit of diluted toxic bile from the duodenum and out of the rectum.

Since the enema is generally held for 15 minutes, and all the blood passes through the liver, the palimates enhance the enzyme system responsible for the removal of toxic free radicals from the serum; and the fluid of the enema then stimulates the visceral nervous system to promote peristalsis and the transit of diluted toxic bile from the duodenum and out of the rectum. Furthermore, since all the blood passes through the liver every three minutes, “these enemas represent a form of dialysis of the blood across the gut wall.” The research by Sherry Rodgers, MD author of Detox or Die, suggests that there is no stimulatory effect of the adrenals from a coffee enema. The personal experience of Gabriel Cousens, MD supports her findings.
